During our series in Galatians, we’re learning from both the Teaching Team during weekend services and group videos during the week. These are available on PLC’s YouTube channel and posted on Sunday mornings as the series progresses. They include additional content about each week’s Scripture section and discussion questions for your group.

Discussion Questions

1. Let’s level set. Have you read the book of Galatians before? What are you looking forward to as we work through this series together?

2. Have you noticed any different “versions” of the gospel you’ve bumped into? (Like a focus on rules, feelings, performance, etc.) How did these “different gospels” impact you and your friends who were listening to them?

3. Read Galatians 1:6-9 again. Paul gets right to the point in this letter. How does his urgency hit you, and why do you think he’s so fired up about this issue?

4. Pastor Jesse described how believing a “different gospel” can feel like getting stuck on a hamster wheel–working harder, but never getting free. Where or when have you felt stuck like that?

5. What’s at stake if someone believes the wrong story about God and what he requires of us? How might that ripple out into our relationships, church, and community?
