Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic

The 410 Bridge is walking alongside communities in Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic. This work is focused in neighborhoods of extreme poverty, working towards community development and self-sustainability in education, healthcare, water, discipleship, and economics. Many of these neighborhoods are connected to sugar cane plantations and made up of migrant Haitians. The 410 Bridge works with the local leadership to identify strengths within their communities to overcome hardships.

Prairie Lakes Church partners with the 410 Bridge in the Dominican Republic as the communities work to achieve their goals. The most important way we can do this is through building relationships and encouraging community members and leaders. Our teams will partner with local leaders to host day camps for local kids. In the future PLC teams may have the opportunity to come alongside the communities in specific projects or focuses like education, construction, or medical. All of our teams will have the primary purpose of building relationships and learning from each other.

Sponsor a Child

Sponsoring a child through 410 Bridge can transform how they view themselves and their role as the solution to the poverty problem.

Your sponsorship will guarantee that the child you sponsor is enrolled in school and has access to quality education. Your sponsorship also addresses your sponsored child’s physical needs, through health monitoring and feeding programs when needed. Most importantly, your sponsorship gives your child the opportunity to learn about Jesus and be encouraged through discipleship programming.
