As you consider pledging towards A Better Story,
consider these faithful steps in sacrifical giving:

 

Pray for God’s guidance with an open mind.
Ask “What does sacrificial giving mean to me?”
Develop a tentative list of possible gifts.
Make your commitment cheerfully.
Follow through as God provides.

 

 

  • Give up your daily coffee stop/lunch trip
  • Encourage your children to give
  • Have a garage sale/sell items on ebay
  • Reevaluate your spending (spend less on entertainment)
  • Put off big purchases so you can give (TV, new shoes, etc.)
  • Sacrifice a vacation
  • Dedicate your raise
  • Continue to give completed payments (finished car payments, credit card payments, etc)
  • Give your tax return
  • Invest the interest from your investments for the length of A Better Story
  • Downsize (vehicle, house, etc.)
  • Give from your savings (rainy day funds, retirement, etc.)
