God has written a pretty amazing story at Prairie Lakes Church. We’ve experienced incredible growth at our Cedar Falls Campus and multiplied our influence by going multisite with campuses in Waterloo, Osage and Grinnell; all are steadily growing in their influence, attendance and giving.

We have worked hard to flesh out how God has uniquely stamped our church – discovered our God-given DNA: Bible, Invitational, Authentic and Simple. We also clarified our God-given vision: to Love God, Love People and Influence the World.

Hundreds of people are coming to Christ every year at our four campuses. Dozens of people are baptized every few months, and countless others are taking significant steps in their walk with Christ. We are so thankful to be part of what God is doing!

As we have prayed, discussed and watched the story unfold, the answer we have seen and heard is a resounding “Yes.” In fact, we think there absolutely needs to be A Better Story.

We believe that God wants to write His story through Prairie Lakes Church across Iowa. More and more, we are hearing from people who have heard our story and asked, "Would you ever consider coming to our town?"

There are communities across Iowa that lack a Bible-believing, relevant, authentic community of faith. You’ve driven through them. You have family and friends who live in them. There are communities that could be entirely transformed with an invitational, simple church that makes it their sole mission to Love God, Love People and Influence the World.

We believe that God has given us the vision and the resources to reach Iowa for Christ.

So, will we be a community driven by an obedient, bold, and even risky faith? Will we be a people who leave a legacy of generosity for the sake of the lost in Iowa? Will we be willing to sacrifice to impact generations of Iowans for Christ?

During the Fall of 2011, we jouneyed through a sermon series focused on A Better Story.
